The people behind SOME
Different backgrounds. Similar instincts.
A shared belief that good hospitality depends on more than ideas — it depends on structure, standards and the ability to make things work in real life.
Annabella Peñalver Sánchez Co-Founder
Annabella’s background moves across business, food and operations.
Originally from Venezuela, her work has taken her through kitchens, catering, restaurant openings and advisory roles across Latin America, the US, Europe and Asia.
She has worked as a chef, operator and consultant — building a perspective that is both practical and commercially grounded. Her work sits where concept, operations and guest experience meet, turning complexity into systems, standards and decisions teams can actually use.
Before SOME, she led culinary and operational work within hospitality design and advisory environments, supporting projects across multiple markets with a focus on execution and service reality.
Adrian Poon Co-Founder
Adrian’s background is rooted in kitchens, with his work extending into operations, concept development and business performance.
Across Australia, Europe and Asia, he has worked in environments where standards, volume and commercial pressure had to coexist.
That experience evolved into leadership across restaurant groups, delivery models and hospitality development projects. His work focuses on clarifying concepts, tightening systems and improving margins — ensuring ideas hold up in service, not just in presentations.
Before SOME, he led work across concept creation, culinary direction and operational performance, with a consistent focus on what actually works.
